Dear Chabad of Binghamton,
It brings me great pleasure to announce the engagement between myself,
Mickey Oralevich (2000), and Debra Glaser (2001). Your Chabad website
was how we were able to meet. To make a long story short, we both went
to Binghamton. But we met several years after we graduated. I met
Debra at a bar in NYC, but she left before I was able to get her phone
number. So I went to the Chabad of Binghamton website, and I was able
to track her down. And one and a half years later, we're engaged. So,
thank you for helping us get together. And we hope you will be able to
join in our future simchas.
It's actually a tricky way how I got her email. What happened was this:
I met her at a bar in NYC and we talked for a long time. I then went to
the bathroom, but when I got back, she was gone. All I remembered was
her first name - Debra - and that she went to Teachers College and was
getting her Doctorate in Health Education. So the next day, I went to
the Teachers College website and looked for her name, but there were
like 6 Debras in her program. The problem was that I did not know her
last name. So I then typed all the Debras listed in Google to see what
would come up. When I got to Debra Glaser, it showed a picture of her
on the Chabad of Binghamton website, and I knew it was her. I then went
back to the Teachers College directory and got her email. And the rest
is history... It was total B'sheret.
