I have been involved in many activities and groups on campus at Binghamton University, but none made me feel as comfortable or as welcomed as Chabad. Chabad was like my home away from home – always warm smiles to look forward to, amazing homecooked Shabbat dinners, hospitality that supersedes a four star hotel and life long friendships. There were always a plethora of creative and interesting programs and events in celebration of holidays and just for fun.
The Chabad House somehow made Binghamton University, a school of 10,000, seem much smaller and intimate, and for that I would like to thank them. They have taught me how to incorporate my individual talents and interests into my Jewish identity, thereby nurturing a deeper spiritual connection between myself and my faith. This is one of the most valuable lessons I learned over my four years at Binghamton University, and I have grown as a person because of it.
