It’s hard to describe the impact of Chabad House to my college experience in just one small paragraph. In fact, Chabad’s impact on my life started before I arrived in sunny Binghamton: it’s how I met my roommate of three years.
What would Jewish life on campus be like without Chabad? We probably wouldn’t be eating potato salad (the red kind, of course) every Friday night or be able to take classes like Jewish Mysticism and Women in the Bible for credit. There wouldn’t be Lag B’Omer barbecues or women’s cabaret nights. And most importantly, there wouldn’t be any fresh kosher pizza in Binghamton.
For the past four years, Chabad has been a part of my college years in so many different ways. Although I am graduating and will soon be leaving Binghamton, Chabad House – and all my Chabad memories – will continue to be a part of my life.
