My experience at Binghamton has greatly enriched my Jewish identity. Before coming to Binghamton, I was not very interested in my Jewish identity. I was not involved in many Jewish activities and didn’t surround myself in Jewish atmospheres.
One of the factors that greatly influenced my decision to attend Binghamton was its potential for an active Jewish life. Chabad House has been the most significant factor in developing my Jewish life. It has
been a wonderful way to meet great friends, participate in Jewish activities and learn about Jewish history and culture. Chabad House provides a enhancing environment for Jewish students to come together and enjoy fun activities and other people. I’ve participated in several memorable events over the past three years at Chabad so I’ll narrow it down to three: Shabbat nights, Thursday nights helping to prepare for Shabbat and Ladies night. My hope is that Chabad House will be able to positively enrich the lives of countless Jewish students, as it has mine, far into the future.
