When I first came to Binghamton University, I was unsure of the extent of my religious identity. For years Torah was integral to my life, as I went to Yeshiva since the first grade. Despite my thorough education, I did not know if I was religious out of habit.
After four years in Binghamton, I am religiously aware. Jewish establishments such as Chabad helped me get to this point. Whether it be a Shabbos service or a Purim carnival, Jewish life remains vital to my existence. Socially, Chabad laid the groundwork for countless friendships. Every Thursday I could be found with friends eating pizza and playing X-box. For Chabad to be there for students in so many ways, including socially, is a true sign of versatility. To say that Chabad is necessary for a complete Jewish experience at Binghamton is a total understatement.
