When I graduated from high school, I really wanted to spend a year in Israel before college. Instead, I came to Binghamton and I must say that things worked out pretty well. Being in a non-Jewish environment for the first time, I was forced to make my own decisions about Judaism. Chabad helped me maintain my Jewish identity by being a constant throughout my college career. How can you beat Rivki’s challah and potato salad? Chabad is truly a place that Jews of all different backgrounds can come together. I have enjoyed taking part in all of Chabad’s events, from the weekly Shabbat Ferrets performances to those especially memorable Simchas Torahs. I have made many lasting friendships. May Chabad go from “strength to strength” in remaining a solid fixture for Jewish students. I wish all my fellow graduates much happiness and success in the future. B’hatzlacha!
