Binghamton University was everything I expected and more. When applying to this university I knew that this was an excellentschool for a pre-med student like myself, but I had some doubts about religious life. These doubts came as a result of my high school teachers telling me that there is no Jewish life on campus. I went for the orientation and discovered that there is Chabad and a Jewish Student Union, but my discovery didn’t stop there. I saw a kid that went around campus and introducing himself as “Jewish”. That’s when I saw that the school contained a Jewish spirit.
Throughout four years in Binghamton University I have attended many events that were organized by Chabad and JSU. These events helped me become more conscious of spiritual life, understand current events that went on in Israel, and in general become a better person. After a hard week of studying I always knew that on Friday night I could go to Chabad, pray, have a great home cooked dinner, and have a nice social conversation that will make me forget about schoolwork. I am very happy that I went to Bingham-ton University and have no regrets. I wish all of you who are still staying here lots of luck on fulfilling your goals.
