Sharon J. Hirsch Political Science Major, International Studies Minor, and Hebrew Minor Future plans: Law School Binghamton University has strengthened my Jewish identity. Here, I was able to reflect on all that I have learned and feel confident, secure and proud in my choices. At Binghamton, I have grown from practicing Judaism because it was easy and because I was surrounded by it to understanding that I felt a connection with it. Now, I initiate my Jewish involvement and enjoy it. Chabad is an essential part of the Jewish experience at BU. There are wide ranges of students as BU, some join Chabad in Shabbat dinner weekly and attend every one of their classes and some attend Shabbat of 1000 or the Purim Carnival. Many of these students though are unaware that without Chabad these events would never occur. For their dedication and teachings I am extremely grateful.
