After spending a year in Israel, I was anxious about going to Binghamton knowing that realistically, nothing could compare to my experience in Israel. I was sure that I would not be able to create the same Shabbat atmosphere or close Jewish community. Fortunately, I was very wrong. Like many students, Chabad has deeply impacted upon my college experience. Chabad's programs and events have not only enriched my four years here but have made it very easy for me to be observant on campus. For me, Chabad has created a very open and comfortable place ; The Chabad staff's dedication to Jewish life at Binghamton is obvious. I don't think that I truly appreciated Shabbat at Chabad until I moved off campus. It has definitely been fun having Shabbat every week at 56 Murray, however it is always so nice to go back to Chabad and that special challah.
