I sit staring at the computer screen thinking to myself how ever am I going to express my feelings towards Chabad in one little paragraph? There is so much that needs to be said; yet the right words seem to be escaping me at the moment. I can talk about Shabbos (Friday night and Saturday), delicious challah and famous potato salad, but everyone talks about that. I want to take this opportunity and thank Chabad for everything they have done. For lending an ear whenever one was needed and giving the right advice at any given circumstance. I think about what my Shabbos will be like next year and I suddenly become very envious. Envious of those that are able to continue enjoying the warmth that Chabad gives off and the love and laughter that is offered within what has become its comforting walls. I realize however that the Chabad staff have done their job, they are sending me out into the real world, with a sense of Jewish identity, and with a sense of knowing what a community Friday night and Shabbat lunch should be like. I will take the lessons that I have learned over the years and apply it to my life and my future community, wherever that will be. The words thank you do not seem to be enough, yet I do not know how else to express my gratitude.. So thank you, for all of the fun, great food and memories that I will take and cherish with me for the rest of my life. |
