No current plans but hoping to work in a museum
In high school, I was an active member of my local NCSY chapter, and through them I learned a lot about my Jewish identity. Then I came to Binghamton, and was afraid I would not get to experience that same Jewish life and Shabbas experience that I had loved so much. But I was wrong. Even the first weekend here I was part of that Jewish life. From then on I decided to get involved in the Chabad house and quickly realized that I could have a joyous Shabbas with many people every week. I think that is the best part of being at the Chabad house. There are always so many smiling faces even when I show up late from working in the Kosher Kitchen. I have enjoyed every Shabbas meal, singing and benching with a room full of Jews. I hope wherever I go in my life, there will always be a place like Chabad to welcome a stranger in on Friday night and provide a warm and friendly atmosphere.
