I plan on attending graduate school or getting a job.

While I lived in Bingoland,
My Jewish life was nourished
My friends gave it a running start,
And with Chabad, it flourished.

I remember that first Shabbos Night,
My friends all sang and ate.
The challah was a pure delight,
And dinner filled my plate.

The lively room embraced me
With a joy that warmed my heart.
Like I'd "come home" to a special place
Of which I felt a part.

So, imagine my confusion,
Through that loud and lusty ‘boom',
As I washed my hands, when suddenly,
A silence filled the room.

Just a tasty challah later,
My friends explained to me:
"First we wash, and then we sit
as silent as can be."
"To focus on the blessing
That we're about to say
We are commanded not to speak
To sanctify the day."

That evening sparked my intrigue
And filled me with desire
to learn about my heritage . . .
It set my soul on fire!

Many Shabbatot we've shared since then,
And many a Jewish event.
Simchas Torah and Purim,
and so many more Jewish hours I've spent.

Chabad House has kindled a strength in my soul
Which will help me to always stand fast.
It's helped teach me how to live as a Jew . . .
A lesson for life that will last.

If there's any advice that I may give
To those here, with more years to go;
It's to listen and learn, and to open your heart;
Your Yiddishkeit will grow!

Thank you, Chabad House, for all you have done.
There's no one more grateful than I am.
With all of my heart,
I raise up my glass;
And to you, I say:
"L'Chaim"!
