Early the next morning.... on the bus!

First stop: a view from a distance of the old city of Jerusalem. It was a bit foggy when we arrived.

An official birthright camera crew filmed us gazing at Jerusalem.

Yael explains what we see - the various neighborhoods, the old city walls, and that perhaps Abraham stood on this very spot when he first saw Jerusalem.

The fog cleared a little to permit a better view.

We all followed along on song sheets as "Jerusalem of Gold" played on tape.

A quick bus ride, and we stand on the outskirts of the Old City walls.

Time to enter! This is the Zion Gate.

Just after entering, we bump into Tamir Goodman (right) and two of his brothers. Tamir is playing professional basketball in Israel, and spoke in Binghamton last year about his experiences with playing for US college teams and remaining a dedicated, traditional Jew. That's Rabbi Creeger with the name tag.
