| We were pleasently surprised to meet Carrie Joseph volunteering at Ascent - a spiritual education center in the Holy City of Tzfat. Carrie graduated from Binghamton University last year ('01). |
| Big Mo talked about Ascent for a while, inviting everyone for a free weekend stay, and introduced this guy who played some Hebrew songs for us. Anyone know his name? E-mail me.... |
| He played a couple songs; we were glad to relax for a few minutes. |
| We then visited a few really old synagogues in the area. Zvi Hollander stood on the Bima in the historic Abuhav Synagogue. |
| It was time to get back to the bus as the sun came down above the mountains. |
| Welcome to the new Kibbutz Lavi dining hall!! Tom Triebwasser stands in the soon-to-be-full hall. |
| Here's our two guards: Elad Gal-Or on the left, and Benny Rizgan on the right. Hi, guys!! |
| In the evening, we were treated to a funny(?), (perhaps raunchy) yet serious seminar on the Peace Process by Neil Lazarus. |
| Leora Schanfield mugs for the camera while everyone else listens intently :) |
| Neil makes a point of all the huge Arab countries surrounding little Israel. "Israel is a good little country in a bad neighborhood." |
