As we approached Jerusalem in the afternoon, the rain turned to snow and began to REALLY come down!
Some kids scooped up snowballs from the sidewalk - not something they get to do too often.
Approaching the hotel, traffic was deadlocked. We decided not to get out and walk the last few blocks, but the bus ride took about an hour!
Staying up all night on the plane finally took its toll...
....especially as it got darker and we were getting nowhere.
At one point, our tour guide Ira took matters into his own hands. Israel doesn't seem to have that New York rule of "Don't block the box"!
After finally getting to the hotel, busses 11 and 12 had an orientation with Mayanot Director Yehuda (Julian) DeVries. He told us the rules and regulations, and gave some tips.
