Yom Kippur at BU
Hundreds of students spent a meaningful Yom Kippur at Chabad services held in Room 133 of the Old Union. Pictured are some of the students who took part - a few days before Yom Kippur - in a "kapparot" ceremony with live chickens. Many others did the customary Kapparot ( atonement ) with money. Also pictured are students at the Havdallah ceremony following Yom Kippur services and at the break the fast. "Kol Hakovod," we salute the hundreds of students who did not run to break the fast but remained through Maariv and Havdallah before they partook of a light break the fast in Room 133.
