Extreme Purim Carnival Extravaganza takes Binghamton by storm

A snow storm that effectively closed BU - cancelling classes, sport games and all other activities - did not stop the 16th annual Purim Carnival from going forward. Well over 1,000 students braved the storm and enjoyed a night of fun and revelry. The Carnival, which is the largest student run event on campus each year, is spearheaded by the Chabad House together with Alpha Sigma Phi and Alpha Epsilon Phi and co-sponsored by a wide array of campus student groups, Greek groups and Residence Communities. The carnival featured great attractions, fun booths, Hamantashen til you Bust, great music, Hot Dog and Pie Eating contests, A Battle of the Bands, a Costume Contest, a great Kosher Food Concession Stand and an unbelievable Prize Drawing. And to top it all off, $3,000 was raised for charity. What a night!
